Jeep will take to this year’s Moab Easter Safari seven concepts that are all impressive and noteworthy. 2016 also marks the Jeep brand’s 75th anniversary, so that Jeep is producing a series of special 75th Anniversary Edition packages for all of its 2016 vehicles in honor of the anniversary.

This year’s concepts include throwbacks to the brand’s long association with the U.S. military, as well as its civilian excursions into pickups:  

1. Jeep Trailcat is perhaps the most extreme of the Jeep's vehicles. It’s a Jeep Wrangler with Dodge’s wild 707-hp Hellcat engine under the hood. 

2. Jeep Crew Chief 715 - another throwback to the Kaiser M715 military pickup, Wrangler-based design with a five-foot cargo bed paited in a color Jeep calls “Tactical Green.”

3. Jeep Shortcut -  a short-bodied Jeep that is an upgraded throwback to the brand’s post-war era. The Shortcut rides on 17-inch red steel wheels and features a two-inch lift kit to clear its 35-inch tires.

4. Jeep Renegade Commander - a lifted version of the brand’s new Italian-built subcompact, the Renegade Commander. Painted in a color Jeep calls “Fluorescent Gray,” the Renegade Commander has been lifted two inches and outfitted with rock rails.

5.  Jeep Comanche - built from a modified Renegade, and not the Cherokee. The Renegade’s wheelbase was stretched six inches to allow designers to attach a five-foot bed. It’s powered by a 2.0-liter diesel inline four-cylinder engine.

6. Jeep FC 150 - a modified heritage vehicle from 1960, the FC 150 concept rides on a 2005 Wrangler chassis with a Dana 44 front axle and Dana 60 rear axle. 

7. Jeep Trailstorm - features half doors for extra visibility, a two-inch lift kit and 37-inch tires mounted to 17-inch wheels. Its interior is painted with bedliner to allow spray-off cleaning after a muddy day spent off-roading.
